Well I just realized I haven't posted much this whole month! I guess I'm still getting into the swing of things with school getting started. School is going good for the whole family! Both the kids seem to really have a good time at day school and Ike and I have gotten off to great school years too!
This month I had to take Jacob for his 4 year check up. I sure was not prepared for that! I don't know if this is just how our peditrician does things of if this is standard but here's what happened. My mom and my aunt Nona (who Jacob thinks is another grandmother) met me with him in New Albany at Dr. Googe's office. I went to Dr. Googe's from school and when I got there Jacob was already sobbing. The nurse had already informed my mom that he was getting 5 shots and his finger pricked!!! I had no clue it would be involved of a check up. Of course my mom and aunt were just babying him to death so he was pitiful the whole time we were at the office. If it was just me and Jacob, I would have tried to change the subject and keep his mind off of the shots. But, my mom and Nona can't help it! He's thier baby! Once the shots were actully over with he was fine.
Davis Claire (wild thing) was also with us. She had a diaper rash that turned into staff infection! I know, gross! I took her to our family doctor in Tupelo before we could get to New Albany to see Dr. Googe, but I wanted him to check her out too! We absolutely love Dr. Googe! We need his reassurance for our sanity.
My brother and sister-in-law were expecting thier first child mid-October, but she's going to be here earlier than expected! Meri-Campbell will be here by this Wednesday at the latest! Kellie's water broke and so she is in the hospital on bed rest trying to buy a few more days for the baby! The doctors seem to think the baby will be okay, she just will probably go in the NICU for a few days to help with her breathing. Please keep Daniel, Kellie, and Meri-Campbell in your prayers! I can't wait to meet her!
That's about all that's been going on at the Gable house. I hope everyone has a Happy Labor Day!
