Switching Jobs

After a difficult decision, I've decided to take a job at Guntown Middle School next year! I'm excited about it, but it is going to be soooooo hard to leave Pontotoc! I LOVE it there. I mean, I REALLY LOVE it there. The administrators and the other teachers are awesome. This is where I've taught the entire four years that I've been teaching and I could not have asked for a better place to work. The only reason I chose to leave is because I know we will never live in Pontotoc. It's a great place, but my family is all in Guntown and we have family land that we hope to build on in the near future. So, logistically it makes more sense to drive 10 minutes to work as opposed to 45 minutes. For now, I'll still have a good bit of driving, but when we move and our kids are all in school, it will be so nice to be so close to work. Ike and I will now be at the same school but we will very rarely see each other. Guntown is also a great school with great administrators and teachers so I know I will love it too! It's just hard to change. Especially for me!

Sweet Babies

My tough man!

She loves him!
I know they are not babies anymore, but they will always be my babies! These are just a few pics I like from before church one morning.

Davis Claire is 2

I was terrible at pictures this day. This one is so dark but DC had just gone down the big slide! I didn't get a picture to show how big it was!

The Handy Manny Cake

I also didn't take pics of the tables! So this one just shows a little of the decorations!

All the kids (and a few mamas) that were at the party! Thanks friends and family!

Davis Clarie turned two on April 19th. I can't believe it. She acts so big now and it makes me sad. She is so loving and still very sassy too. She loves to tell us all no which gets her into trouble sometimes. She loves playing with her big brother and with her babies! I think she will be such a good helper when the new baby gets here because she takes good care of her dolls. She talks up a storm and lights up our world! We celebrated her birthday at home with an ice cream cake on her actual birthday. We had to sing happy birthday and blow out candles several times that night at her request! The following Saturday we had a Handy Manny birthday party at our church gym with lots of inflatables. Even though Handy Manny is a boyish cartoon, she still loves it! I thought the big slide was going to be a little too big for her, but boy was I wrong. She loved it and had no problem climbing to the top. She ran non-stop for an hour and a half! She even had a big sloptcy alergic reactic of some kind to the plastic inflatables and her face had big red whelps (sp.?) on it for a while! She had a great time! Thanks to everyone for helping her celebrate!

Trees

In March we had four trees fall down in our backyard! Three fell all in one night and a few days later a fourth one fell right on top of those! It was crazy! When we told people we had trees down in our backyard they thought it was no big deal and acted like Ike should be able to just saw them up and haul them off. Then when everyone saw it, they realized the magnitute of these trees! They were huge. We are just thankful that they did not fall on our house. Now they have been removed (a two day job with lots of heavy duty equipment) and we just have a big dirt/mud hole.
