15 Months

Pushing Baby Stella
Sitting in Baby Stella's stroller!

Where does the time go? Today Davis Claire is 15 months! I really can not believe she has been in the world that long. She acts like she is about 15 years old instead of 15 months old! She is very independent, strong-willed, and tempermental! But she is also very sweet and loving. She is talking constantly though we don't always know what she is saying. She can climb up on the couch and all the chairs in our house also! She loves her big brother and tries to do everything he does. She keeps her daddy and I laughing and wanting to pull our hair out at the same time! I don't know what we would do without her!

Our Pets

When we went to the beach last week, Jacob bought himself two pets. He has really been wanting a dog because he loves them. But, his daddy and me just tell him he has a sister instead! Anyway he got two hermit crabs. At first I wasn't so sure how I would like them. But it turns out they are pretty fun to watch crawl around. I went to Petsmart and bought them a new cage and all kinds of crab things. Petsmart has a whole end of an aisle dedicated to hermit crab things. I hope they live a long time because I've spent about $50 on them! Jacob named them Shelly and Sebastian (both boys). He calls them his little boys and he says that they call him their daddy! Shelly is in the brown shell and Sebastian is in the teal shell. Sebastian is a lot more active than Shelly!

Jacob the Cook

Jacob has been wanting to cook something. Friday night Davis Claire went to spend the night with RoRo and Aunt Gay so Jacob and I cooked. He wanted to cook mac and cheese. Those of you who know me also know that I'm not much of a cook. So I was happy he wanted to cook mac and cheese (the Kraft Spiderman kind). He really had fun and did a good job. I let him do a lot of it all by himself. Here are a few pictures.

Tonsils

Jacob had his tonsils removed this past Wednesday. I was really expecting the worst, but it really hasn't been that bad. The Tylenol with codine wired him, so the past couple of days he has been getting just regular Tylenol and it seems to be working fine. Here are a couple of pictures at the surgery center before they took him back! Thanks surgery center and Dr. Simmons. Everyone was wonderful and made Jacob feel much better.

Orannge Beach

Mary Frances is ready for the beach!
Me and DC
The first night, Jacob looked for crabs.
Jacob is just like Ike. I can't hardly get him to smile for a picture anymore. He does this!

We went to Orange Beach, AL this past week with the Osbirn's! We had an awesome time. There were four adults and three kids under four. My kids loved the beach and I thought they were very well behaved in the condo and on the beach! Eating out was not always so easy. I hope we did not traumatize the Osbirn's on eating out with our two! I'll write about that later. Mary Frances was an absolute angel the whole time! She is such a sweet baby! But, our vacation was great! It was so good to just get away and relax. I really enjoyed the time we got to spend with such good friends too! We did not do much of anything and it was wonderful. I got carried away posting pics so I hope you enjoy!

I left Jacob with Ike a while and this is how I found him.
She loved the sand.
This pool was a good idea!
First time she felt the beach sand!

Orange Beach

One day while in Orange Beach, we took the kids to The Track. There was not a whole lot for Davis Claire to do, but Jacob loved it. He rode go karts, the ferris wheel, and some other kiddie rides. We all got to ride the bumper boats which was a lot of fun. Davis Claire and I got completely soaked!

4th of July

Me and DC, Suzanne and Cooper, Jodie and Mary Frances, Colby and Ainsley

My best friend from college and her husband came in town and spent 4th of July with us! It was so good to Jennifer and David. They are expecting their first child in January and I can hardly wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl. I hate to say that I did not do a good job taking pictures while they were here! We all went to a cookout at another friend's house on the 4th and I did take this picture of all the mamas and babies that were there. We had a great time!
